Should squaresoft make a remake of final fantasy 7 for the ps3
I'm kinda divided on my opinion. On one hand I think they shouldn't spoil the original game but on the other I would like to see how it looks and hear the voices in the story.
I don't think this would be such a good idea. I mean look at it this way, you may lose some of the die-hard FFVII fans who played the original and still own a copy, but you may gain people who have never played it, and there's no guarantee that the newcomers will be as motivated as the older players were when the original came out. Besides, if there's nothing wrong with the original, why fix it? Great graphics don't make a game great.
But for the record I wouldn't mind a revamped copy as I've seen Advent Children and I like the similarities, however I don't think it would be a wise decision for such a large revamp on a massive scale.

Final Fantasy VII is the best game in the series in my opinion, so yes, I do think they should consider doing a remake of the game, or maybe they will be doing V and VI, because they already have done I and II for PSP and i and IV for the DS, so maybe they'll go onto another console for V and VI, and then the PS3 may have VII and Vi, just guessing, don't really know at all, but it would be good, and I'd most probably go and get it..

The gameplay itself is already great and all, the only reason I would like to see them remake it would be improving the graphics on a new, more powerful console. If they do, hopefully it wont be a big letdown and they don't ruin or kill the game. I could see many fans in rage if that is the case.

They most def should ff VII is one of the best final fantasys and its in shitty graphics but they have been remaking all the old ones for ds and they just re released the ff VII for ps3 store butin the old graphics ...
The original's graphics were horrendous. So updating that would alone make the game worth it, but they added voiceovers and any extra stuff like maybe multiple endings or something then they would make millions. I'm farely sure that a lot of people would buy a PS3 soley for this game if they ever made it, myself included.
There is something in this world which no one has ever seen.
It is soft and sweet.
If it is spotted, I'm sure everyone will want to have it,
Which is why no one has ever seen it.
For this world has hidden it quite well, so that it is difficult to obtain.

I think they should make another movie... and game. I love them both, but since I hardly ever get to play video games, I'd rather have another movie.
For example, at the end of Advent Children, Sephiroth stated that he won't become "just a memory". I want to see if he holds that promise out.

-Agrees- As of now I do not own a PS3, as none of their exclusives released really appeal to me. I currently only own an Xbox 360, but if they end up remaking FFVII with the voiceovers you mentioned as well as cutscenes, I would strongly consider investing some money into buying one just for that. Maybe for KH3 as well...whenever that gets released. I'd like to see another movie made as well. I really enjoyed Advent Children.

Urgh, there's only so many times he can come back from death before falling into "This guys sucks hard" territory. >_>
Advent Children barely got away with it but only because the trio before him sucked as main villains.

The Ps3 is an extremely powerful console and they could definitly remake ff7 with no problem. And I think they definitly should I have played through the game a ton of times and love it. But since they are making it that the Ps3 won't be able to play old ps1 and 2 games anymore. So why not just remake the game as it is and just update the graphics.
100% NO remake for PS3 please god don't let this happen, i would prefer FinalFantasyVII for Playstation 4 / Next Gen consoles bigger time gap bigger satisfaction

I'd love to see it with improved graphics, but leave everything else the same, fixing the English translation errors, of course. xD I like the voices and all, but I just can't imagine the game with them... part of the feel was reading the cutscenes, and I can see them ruining Aerith's death in a remake.

But yeah, this is how I feel too. There was more magic in reading the text and coming up with your own conceptions of their personality and voices. You just can't re-invite that kind of magic when you have Cloud's whiny pathetic emo voice drilling at you throughout the whole game. You can't really imagine Sephiroth being this dark, pained and tormented character when you have some terrible voice actor's boring, bland and monotonous voice chew his way through the lines.
Just wouldn't be the same at all.
