Lol interesting question, but i don't think so. Finding stuff out about your partner and trying to figure them out is part of the fun in relationships. So if you found yourself in the opposite sex it would be boring as hell to deal with.

No. I like myself but I don't think I'm compatible with someone exactly like me. Sure we'd have a lot in common like our love for anime, music and art but I'm too impatient, ill-tempered and full of pride. If I got into a fight with myself how would we make up with each other? XD I'm also kind of shy when it comes to these things and if another shy person comes to me then nothing will happen to us. No development whatsoever. lol I also have some points in me that I don't like in others. Although I won't bluntly admit it but I know I have some bad traits so If I dated myself then we'd always fight lol!

I would never date myself - even if I met a similar female counterpart. I don't really know why, but I don't like myself (okay there are different reasons I'd rather not talk about on here, but the main reason is none of those). If I were dating myself, the only thing I'd be doing is agreeing on this, agreeing on that... and that's (from my experience and from what I read and heard) not really what a girl likes.. besides you can't have a proper chat if you're agreeing on pretty much everything.
It's pretty good to have some hobbies or things one does or has in common, but it's also good to have some points where you totally differ - not the most important ones, but stuff like food or favored color or even hairstyle or actress/actor/movie etc.
It causes the relationship to become more lively in my opinion.

I will never ever date myself just think about all the been there done that situations.it would be the shortest date in the history of mankind.as much as i like myself but i dont wanna see myself as a girl.the girl i wanna date should be opposite of what i am.some likes and interest should be same.some interest like hmmm i like anime,video games,travailing and i am totally not a couch potato i cant sit at home for a long time.if these qualities are same in both of us that would be awesome.and the most common thing in us should be understanding.she should understand me i should understand her thats it no more things should be common or same...

when I date someone it means I'm looking for a serious relationship; I don't do "fun relationships" so in that light, I would try to find someone to complement my character, someone who's strong in the areas I'm not!
I know myself, and I know my weaknesses and shortcomings! dating myself will not work out well in the long run! however, I don't think I would be able to resist (I'm such a narcissist =P) so, yes I would date myself but only a few times till I can exercise some self control
