This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Is there any possible way to make bitcomet run faster? It usually takes me about 6 hours to download one episode of anime! O_O But sometimes it takes about 1hour or 2hours, depending on the number of leeches and seeds. But i've heard that there's a way to make it faster. Does anyone here know how?

Well not really unless you set the upload/download to no limit but thats default i think
then it will enable you to dl at the full speed but then again it all depemds on the seeds and leechers
and 1-2 hour is kinda usual for torrents, for larger files i leave it overnight

Speed depends on seed and leech. I have also heard it before about the way to make bitcomet faster by increase the peer connection, may be extra load to router and become hang at last if your router is bad. But It's not a good way for me because I have to share some bandwidth to connect to extra peer. It's excessive.

For me, 45 peers/torrent is the good rate for me. I use 1024/512 Kbps ADSL. Don't forget to limit your upload speed when you are downloading, It is helpful and also Don't forget to check that you are not behind the firewall.

Anyway I am using µtorrent ^ ^

P.S I have heard that bitcomet is a cheat client. Is that true? anyone can tell me plz.

If you haven't already, open your Bitcomet ports using your router's port forwarding feature and increase the number of connections Windows (I'm assuming you're running Windows XP) can have to 50 using the EvID Patch.

^wrong thread bhfsrgase

anyhows i have been using bitcomet for ages now, it works fine, it all depends on the seed/leechers rating, the more seeds the better the less leechers the better (sometimes) and also depends on how many torrents youve opend all at once. the less the better but sometimes you can combine 2 ore 3

I use BitComet and the speed of the torrent generally depends on the number of seeders AND leechers. Sometimes, it's the leechers you're the getting the parts from and then you get the rest from the seeders. From what I can see, the closer you are to completing the file, the slower it gets because obviously, the amount of people with that remaining 1.0% isn't a lot.

I open multiple torrents at the same time on BitComet and all of them are fast, so maybe the number of torrents opened isn't really a factor. You also need to open your ports as well if you have a router. If your ports are blocked, you won't be able to connect to peers and they won't be able to connect to you. So there really isn't a way to make BitComet faster. You just need to work it right.

Is bitcomet a good client? Is there any better? Where do you get your torrents from? Does the iontegreated search feature suffice?

And yea, basically as said above, open ports with you firewall (windows firewall or anti-virus programs) and/or port forward through your router. It can't get any faster than that.

I use BitComet and Azureus. I think they are both great clients. You should try out Azureus if you haven't already done so.

A good unlicensed anime site for torrents is www.animesuki.com.

Thanks. I had azureus for a while, but I never actually used it. I used to use bittorrent (the actual program) and tried bitlord but tht didnt work for me. I'll try the swutch now. I kinda stopped using bitorrent, so now I'm gonna start up again. So, once again, thanks.

edit:: whats the diff between windows and windows 9x? (for azureus)

I stopped using bittorent too because my router can't handle all the incoming connections no matter what. I have to use direct downloads instead of bittorent. There are trade-offs. Bittorent is much easier to get batch files (many files) at once while direct downloads you can only get one file at a time. Direct downloads give you a constant speed most of time.

Get Azureus for Windows if you have Windows XP, ME, 2000.
Get Azureus for Windows 9x if you have Windows 98, 95.
Hope that clears it up!

Meh people say seed/leecher rate depends, i aint to keen on that. i sometimes see like 300+ seeds on a credible website (not some porn filled spam assed site with fake details) and get weird speeds of like 40-60 kb. sometimes i see like 20-60 seeds and get like 300+.

i officially use bitlord sans clicking the adaware shit in it, if you fight the urgenot to click on nudey cams then your good. you all can say what you want, but i get amazing speeds of an avg of 150-200kb/sec.

only thing i really did was adjust my global upload speed to that of what my internet allows which is 65 kb/sec, and then uninstall all my shitty firewalls and useless crap and bought myself a wireless router (dlink 524) and registered what port i will be using for bitlord on it.

up till now a year actually i have been dl'ing happily with no viruseS or adaware AT ALL!!.

my friend with a mac (A MAC, THE THING THAT NEVER GETS SICK) is jealous of my laptop since it runs on par with his ibook lol, AND ITS A SHITTY ACER ASPIRE LMAO!

cheers

Not a paricularly good idea, but with a very asymetric connection (2048k/128k in my case), putting the upload speed very low can give you great download speed, because you have more bandwidth to exchange data with other peers so you can connect to more at once.

It is of course not recommended, since you don't share as much as you download, or you have to seed after the file is completed to keep a good sharing ratio.

www.utorrent.com is the best torrent client, simple, userfriendly, great features, lightweight and fast, I highly recommend uTorrent before BitComet!

Lol.. its nice to know theres lotsa bitcomet users.. im one.
i find it easier that other.. and i can help seed other leechers out there! @_@
to speed up dl is just to set your upload to no limit and thats it..
its up to the other leechers to seed and share what they have.. if they want to..
like me.. :D lol..

I heard about a sotware named bitcomet accelerator somewhere before. Though i didn't know if it makes bitcomet faster, i suggest that you have to try it by yourself! The other way is you have to ask someone who already download the bittorent ile that you want to reseed again to increase the number of seeder! If it still doesn't make faster you should change into another bittorent software like limewire.
