I will be starting to watch the fate/stay night series very soon, so perhaps my question will be answered in there, but I would really like to know now.

What is Fate/Hollow Ataraxia?
Rin Tohsaka seems to be the same character as from Fate/Stay Night. Are they the same character?

ZIt is a spin off that takes place little after Fate/Stay Night but it is not a true sequel. Just about all of the same characters return and it is told from two different perspectives.

Hollow Ataraxia is a Fan Disc. Though it has a complicated story line like Stay Night, it centers in everyday events involving all characters from Stay Night and a few new/ignored characters from it, as well.

HA takes place 6 months after the Heaven's Feel. In this game, everyone but, Hassam and Kotomine are alive. Is like the perfect happy ending where no one dies and everyone gets along.

There's a bunch of hot porn in it.

Hollow Ataraxia also introduces 3 new characters into the storyline.

Karen, Basset and Avenger are the three new characters.

Yes it does take place after Fate Stay Night where all the characters are alive and decide to spend happy time together without fighting.

Karen wears black clothes and doesn't seem to mind having sex with random people (I believe.)

Bazette can be considered as the female "Shiro".

And Avenger is a beaten down version of Shiro (sorta like the alternate of Archer Shiro)

Thankyou for that information everyone. It makes a bit more sense now. I don't know about "hot porn" though. I find anime a bit silly when there are too many sex scenes without good reason. I hope its not too silly as Fate/Stay Night looks quite good (I've only seen the first episode though so far, still waiting to get the sub version from a friend until it comes out on DVD here)

I really like Rin's costume in Hollow Ataraxia because she is so plain in the first one with just a jumper/skirt combo.

Its interesting to see it is a "visual novel game". I am not familiar with this genre, only with the anime series Fate/Stay Night. I wasn't aware it was a game to start with, but I don't think that matters for my purpose. Interesting to know though incase someone questions why (if we can manage to pull it off) Rin and Saber are together at a cosplay con.

Also, the F/SN anime is pretty horrible. Don't waste your time with it.

I didn't find it THAT bad but, it didn't stand up to the game/novel. That is for sure. The director should have tryed Heaven's Feel only instead of a mix of all three and base it on FATE.

And yes, HA and SN are Hentai Visual Novels.

I think I heard somewhere that the story line for Fatestay Night has another part, that could potentially be a second season for this series... but I do not recall the name for it unfortunately. But in continuation of the story, I do believe they introduce some new characters that are summoned..

It should be interesting to see how Shirou and Saber's relationship will change because obviously it looks like she is coming back to his world.

Stay Night's Story ended in Stay Night... Hollow Ataraxia is Fan Disc. It could be considered a sequel and, even though it KINDA follows the end of Stay Night, Heaven's Feel End to be more accurate, it doesn't ACTUALLY follows what happened at the end of every escenario.

So, they could make an Anime out of Hollow Ataraxia but, it would be like something like Fumoffu from Full Metal Panic but, with bit more serious story
