Who's your favourite artist?

Well, like the topic says, who is your favourite artist and why? You can have more than one, but you gotta explain why you like them.
My personal favourite would be Hyung-Tae Kim. Why? I like the costume design as well as the character poses, they really stand out from other Korean artist. I especially like his design on Calintz, the dramatic hair style change from the Magna Carta episodes really showed off, although I'd prefer to have him wearing a different coloured outfit. My friend doesnt like Kim cause he thinks the character design is not to proportion, he said the characters are too fat -_-...

Hakan Ackegard and Fredrik K.T. Andersson (both swedes). I like both style and theme of their drawings. The latter one can be found at elfwood.com.

There are many manga artist that i like but my favourite artist is Alfons Mucha, an art-nouveau artist from the 1860-1940, cause of his wonderfull works and the techniques he used.

My favourite, in front of everyone on earth and i think that no body could ever replace him or do better than him, it's Edward S. Curtis.
He is THE man who gave 30 years of his life to travel all around north america, to take pictures and to write all the Natives Indian stories. Their habits, their legends, their songs, their rituals.. Everything about every tribe in North America. He wrote it down and put every thing in an encyclopedy made in 20 volumes.
Huge ethnological, artistic, and historical work that nobody knows... And that's a shame.
His pictures are just amazing and so beautiful.
I admire him like noone else in my life. he was a great man.

I love CLAMP. They've done so many great animes and mangas, and I've loved most of them. Their characters are awesome and well-drawn, with a great personality. The character development is quite well done, and the storylines are great too!
Without them, such great series as Tsubasa Chronicles, Chobits, Card Captor Sakura, Wish, Clamp School Detectives/ Defenders, X, Legal Drug etc wouldn't exist, and we'd all be deprived of greatness!
Yuu Watase's pretty good too. I like the storyline and character art/ development, only not as much as I like CLAMP's. Yuu Watase did work such as Absolute Boyfriend, Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres etc.
