I like it favorite character is Asuka least female fav is Rei don't know why I guess because all the love she gets>_> Anyway back on the topic I think its a very enjoyable anime the end wasn't great but not baad what do you guys think?
=/ i think most people will say they enjoy it. its one of those animes that is good subed or dubed (to me anyway) but the deep story is what keeps you entertained. i had to watch the whole series a few times to get wtf was going on. and i loved every moment of it.

It was okay. Just that there were some parts in which I absolutely hated. For example when
SPOILER (click to view)it'll take FOREVER just for it to talk about nonsense. Then there's the absolutely long pause in episode 24 when
SPOILER (click to view)Then comes episode 25 and 26. The WORST episodes EVER! It talks about nonsense, constantly repeats animations, and hardly fits with anything. But then the movie The End of Evangelion. A whole lot better, but way messed up when
SPOILER (click to view)Then comes the nonsense part, then confusing scenes, etc. It fixes the ending of the series, but I believe this anime series could be a whole lot better.
Evangelion, though a good series is IMHO an over-rated one. And even then, most people don't even get the ending (the original TV one), which was perfect for the director's goals for the series.

Evangelion was an amazing anime, though IMO Shinji turned into a whimp towards the end, wish he had owned the angels a little more >.<
Love this anime but got a lil confused at the end......

Evangelion...i've watched it not long ago and till this time i can't exactly if liked it or don't...the first impression was good but from the 20th episode it has become...freakish...and i was waiting for the end of each episode...may be i should watch it one more time and more attentively...
Kenjii beat me to just about everything I was going to say. I largely consider this anime to be overrated. I tried to warn a friend of mine away from it, but he just had to watch it because of all the good things he'd heard about it. He decided it was worthless, and agreed with me that Shinji is an extremely annoying character.
The episodes before 20 were good. . . then the shit hit the fan. . . everyone in the series (including the creators) need to get their heads examined.

This was one of my first animes and I loved it when I watched it, though it got a little confusing for me. I think I may need to rewatch the series and compare it to the other series I've seen recently.
I almost had an epileptic seizure during the movie too. . .

In my opinion, Evangelion happens to be one of the best animes ever made. From start to finish the anime was just great. It had everything you could ever ask for, a deep and very dark plot, loveable characters, giant robots, and fanservice (always a plus). As a side note, I just don't get why people hate it when thte anime puases for a loong time. To me, it showed that shinji had a lot on his mind. He just found a friend (in the midst of all the horrible things going on in his life) and then he was faced with the choice of whether or not to kill him. If anything, you would have to commend him for killing him after one minute of careful consideration...I think it might've taken me even longer. Digressing, bottom line, the anime is worthy of all the praise it gets. I personally love it, and i watch it every year because it's just that good!
I'm still confused about the plot. . . was SEELE trying to expedite the process of human extinction or something?

Well i don't think is bad.. like it.. but, if it's about the "religion" well.. in that case.. mmm i'm catolic, but... i think not just cos it goes "against" we've been taugh, it must be evil... everyone has different points of view and we can feel save to express ourselves, xD kinda crazy my thoughs.. =p
