I did a quick search to see if this topic had already started or not but they were locked. I was going to wait a bit more to see if it worked itself out but alas, i've been without the quote function for about 3 weeks now ;P
it either jumps me to the forum index or quotes someone else (and it's not even from the same thread). was wondering if i'm the only one. also, i really don't want to use firefox so i hope that's not the reason it isn't working.

Correct me if i am wrong but the most part of this site is based on the AJAX technology, and the crucial part of the user interface is the JavaScript. therefore i recommend to check if you have some java blockers installed or such things [like adblockers, firewalls and antiviruses integrated with the browser].
moreover i think this site is designed for firefox, so... there's not much else you can do but to switch... and believe me, if you are using IE, this switch will benefit both you and the site...

You need to be specific (i.e. the quote function in the forum, userpage or gallery).
Currently there are two known Quote function problems in the Userpage and Gallery respectively which was highlighted earlier during the launching of APv4 (both not fixed yet due to Bantam being very busy IRL) with one sending you to the main forum while the other quotes posts from the main forum. Both bugs also occurs in Firefox.
If the problem is related to the main forum, you need to elaborate more on what you did to arrive at that problem (because I don't have any problems quoting posts there).

I would quote ya dias but it doesn't work ;P but seriously, it's all of the above. 90% of the time it takes me to the forum index no matter where i am (gallery, forum, userpage) the other 10% of the time it quotes someone i did not want to quote (and that's totally sporadic). i try periodically to see if it's worked itself out.
the reason i posted this was because my quote function had always worked before (even after the upgrade to V4), it's only been recently that it hasn't worked. what i find odd is that it happens both at home and at work (and they're completely different pcs). personally i don't care one way or the other if i have it, it's more of convenience than anything. but i just wanted ya to know of the bug (if it is one) and give my 2 cents.
if you guys think i should use firefox, i will at home (can't do anything really on my work pc).

I am having a problem quoting from many threads in the general discussions, as well as all of the others within animepaper section.
It is funny, cause it jumps back to the forum index.
I am sure this is not a sole browser problem, it exists and it is affecting most of the site.

In the forum you need to wait for the page to load. It's all xenos crazy javascript stuff, I dont understand it enough to modify it.
