I fell in love with that Pic of Asuka ...
After cleanung up the Calender Scan and removing the Numbers and so on i rotated it a bit to the right so that the Stairs are straight ...
Some color-fine-tuning with Layer effects and that's it ... now im stuck :( But i actually like it this way ...

This suggestion would be a bit crazy, but if possible, I'd like to see the hidden stairs and wall reconstructed. Make it look like she's standing at the entrance of the stairs leading underground.

As Dias said what that wall needs is the stairs to be repaired, re-cged, the eye automatically wants to see the rest of the image, if you could redraw it, it will be simple perfect, if I were you I'll draw a huge part of stairs, and leave some space to draw a wall as if Asuka where in a little hollow, so it will recreate some depth too. I will follow closer the progression on this wall, like a lot the drawing...
Now i added some wall on the right an d a bit on the bottom ... the main Pic is now a bit larger then before ...
But the stairs, that's gonna be tough ...

Hmm...if you want, how about putting in rotting wooden beams. to hide the diagonal black border in the middle.
I could remove the border pretty easily ... but wood ? doesn't really fit there ...

Wow...that's pretty good re-drawing. A minor detail, but I'll mention it nevertheless: the red glow on the wall that you drew is a bit brighter than the rest and it seems added XD Maybe you can add another char in the shadow to fill up the wall? That's uneccessary, but I guess it can also work =P Keep up the good work, it's looking good!
Most impressive. I wouldn't have thought of reconstructing a scan like this mostly because I'm a lazy bugger.
And yeah, the red glow seems weird.
As for the black area, I wonder if giving it a subtle concrete texture will make it look good. That would entail making that area dark greyish-black instead of solid black.
Anyway, I'm really loving the progress of this wall.

I'll think bout something to replace the red o_o , at least i'll make the upper part a bit less bright ...
The "conctete" ideal is nice. I'll try to add carcks and that same structure as the right wall ... maybe some worn out, painted Signs too

Nice work. I like what you did to fill up that space on the left. The coloring on the outside of it could use some darkening though. It seems just a tad bright. Other then that I don't see any probs. Thanks for sharing ^_^.

I've made the upper left wall a bit darker, added a sig and Uploaded the Wall ... i hope this one won't be refused too ;)
