As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Self scanned from the 2009 May issue of Animedia.
Animedia magazine publishes monthly chapters of the novel Kamigami-tachi no Gosui (author: Atsuko Asano) illustrated in collaboration by various artists.
CLAMP was chosen to draw the illustrations for the two final chapters (the ones released in the 2009 May and June issues).
This is the first. There are also black&white illustrations.
