This is the first vector I've completed, though it's actually my second attempt at one. I did the work in Photoshop 7.0

The idolm@ster series is one of my favorites, so I decided to make a vector from it when my first work stalled. I chose this DVD cover as Ami & Mami were my favorite characters and I had always wanted to do something with this image. It was a bit of a challenge, mainly trying to find outlines in the darker/shadowed portions of the image. It was also the first time I tried using gradients, mostly when trying to recreate the shiny look of their jackets. I played with them a bit in the hair and uniform, but it never looked right to me so I settled on just keeping the gradients on the jackets.

There are probably some ways to improve it further, but overall I'm pleased with how it turned out.
