This is my first vector from a black and white manga scan. :3 So it was a challenge to figure out the shading, highlights, and colors I wanted to use! As you can see, I changed around a lot of things, too: no clover in mouth, no flowers on shirt, flower instead of clover in hair, and butterfly wings. This took over 10 hours [spread across a week's work], and there were over 200 shape layers [because I didn't realize how to combine the layers until later...].

The wings were my biggest problem. I saved them for last. :/ I didn't really use a reference for them...I just used the freeform pen tool with my tablet. I changed their shape/design and colors SO many times, but I finally settled on the yellow with some different colored streaks. I blurred some of them to make them blend better.
