(okay I know I uploaded this wall a few days ago...but I was looking at it again and I noticed that I wrote "Erementar" wrong...so I decided to correct it and uploaded it again. So I apologize for those who downloaded the incorrect version)
Firstly, I would like to thank the people that viewed and commented my Session Zero post, your comments really helped me concentrate on the many elements of this wall.
Well the process for this wall was long and tedious. I first started by getting screenshots from the opening sequence of Erementar Gerad. Why you ask? well in the opening sequence they show Ren floating over a pool of vast water...and thats what ignited my creativity. After going through the screenshots, I had to piece together Ren because the image of Ren floating isn't in one piece...its many different pieces (watch the opening sequene of Erementar Gerad and you'll understand)
After piecing Ren together I began the long task of vectoring her. The vectoring process was bittersweet. The one tricky part was creating the pattern for Ren's hair ribbon. It looks simple, but the hard part was working the pattern with the folds of the ribbon. The other tricky part was getting the right colours for Ren.
After vectoring Ren, I had to begin constructing the background. I started with the water that Ren would be floating over. To tell you the truth, making the water wasn't hard at all. The only tough part was making the circular mist effect. After that was done with, I had to figure out what would look nice in the background of the water and Ren. Hence I began to fool around with different filters and colours in photoshop. When that didn't work I began to look up stock images that would work well with the image of Ren. I luckily found a photo of a mountain scape. The one thing that was wrong with the image was it was colourless and bland. So I had to give the mountain some colour. I did this by combining different filters (mostly the cloud filter) and different colours. Overall, I feel that the best part of my wall was the mountain in the background.
sigh...I'm spent
Well I hope everyone likes it
