This one really is a mixed bag. On the one hand, the choice of colour is pretty good and the use of space is more or less average, but the picture as a whole still doesn't appeal to me. I think you didn't take enough advantage of the picture you chose and you went for a rather "safe" background choice that didn't really help the feel of the picture.

I think the wallpaper could have used a splurge of red, brighter red, somewhere. The sword just doesn't cut it (pardon the pun... :P). Even though the use of space is balanced, it still doesn't seem to be used to its fullest - something is missing there, I can tell.

The choice of words is interesting, however, and goes well with the rest of the picture. It brings the picture into focus like nothing else does, which helps it a great deal, on the whole, and saves it, in my view. The whole thing with the hair and the background "merging", though... Doesn't work for me, I'm afraid.

In summary, I find this wallpaper to be kind of average, for the reasons explained above. I do like the words, though.
