Finally, its finished. This one has been in the making for over a week, and I never like to spend that long on walls. XD I'll try and keep this description short. The inspiration for this wall came from the song "Edge of Space (Whiteroom Remix)" by Zirenz. I had this Asuka image from the Die Sterne artbook and wanted to do something with it reaaaaally bad, but didn't know which direction to go. The song has a cosmic, destructive, ethereal feel to it, which is how I wanted the wall to look. Just think of Asuka as the Maiden of Destruction or something. XD The background is a culmination of stock images from sxc.hu, deviantart, including resurgere, texturematic, some from ex-posed.com and manual brush work using my trusty self-made splatter brushes that never fail me! The chair is from our kitchen! The typo was tricky - I wanted it to look grungy and tech at the same time. Thanks to Gid for helping me with its layout.. she pointed me to one of my previous walls that offered some inspiration. Lyrics are from a Coheed and Cambria song. I think that's it. Hope you enjoy this as much as I had making it. x)

Hot XD Yay for abstract-grunginess, I really like the colors and background fontage as well :D I'm not a huge fan for the bigger pink font, but it might be just me. Awesomeness xD

well, its a smooth and slick blending of stocks, but just like your Mickey one, my biggest issue is that, I can't make out whats going on AND it just seems like a mess of cool looking brushes/stocks/texture, but Asuka is in mid air. That concept gives itself to seemingly cheap wallpapers, which consist of scan+stock. This wall however, is far above cheap. I'll stop speaking now. XD

Great wall, I haven't seen a wall with this scan of Asuka. I can't really make out the background but it looks cool with the colors you added. What is she standing on? I like the typo effect you added it looks grungy.

I'm not sure I like the font Asuka is in. -_- But, that aside, I really like the red/pink block letters behind it. The chair came out well, XD, but I think it would have served you well to make it look like maybe the chair was resting on the blue stuff at the bottom. It seems a little strange with just the two legs. :x I still love it though.

I've seen this scan of dolled-up Asuka used earlier this week, but I love the way you used it. I love the different layers of textures spattered about, especially the woodsy shadows and the layer almost hidden in the dark. The scan is nicely tweaked to fit the theme and I like the bright colors; it contrasts nicely with the rest of the work. Fabulous job creating this! ^o^b

Asuka has always been one of my favorite characters and walling her with that abstract background makes it just more awesome! Colors blend fantastically well! I'm fine with the fact that she may be floating as that's how the background is already portrayed as abstract. But everyone has their own preferences.

The main image looks great, and I love the touch with the chair added in. And the background is really an attention grabber. But I hate the text/font. It just looks bad. I know you are going with the grunge look, but that almost kills it for me. Almost.

Marvelous wall once again. Just gotta love your style; how you combine things even sometimes irrelavent things totally amazes me.
For this one I agree with Gid about the font. It feels weird. And I wonder how would the wall look if we can't see her feet. It's probably just me but I think that feet spoils something downlow. But all in all a very nice one Baka
