Man, Death Note is popular, huh? I like it too. This was done by request of a friend of mine. He wasn't too specific in details, just that he wanted the character to be in the center. I haven't done too many central themed walls, as I like asymmetry, but it makes things more challenging and fun in the end. The kanji means (from what I gathered) "One Moment Only Once" and it seemed fitting to the Kira mentality that this character, Teru Mikami, possesses. If you don't know the story behind Death Note, "Kira" is the name given to those possessing the Death Note and can write any person's name down in the book and the specifics of their death.

Now for technicalities. The BG is a mix of textures and a lot of brushwork. The textures you see on the right and left are from stock xchange and the bubbley things are from resurgere. The hardest part was the brushwork, namely color selection and trying not to overwhelm the wall with warm tones. The kanji wasn't fun either. I like the blockiness of it, so that stays. =P
