Hisoka standing alone in a beach (?)
I watched a couple of episodes of Yami No Matsuei a very long time ago. I stopped watching it because I don't really like yaoi material. So don't expect me to make a yaoi scene even though this is wall for a yaoi-ish show.
Anyway, I made this for FMN activity #2. YNM is a forgotten category so I guess that's for the general rule. As for specific theme, well I guess it's the emo theme. I've always wanted to make a wall with a character standing facing nothing but the the blue sky. It made me feel relaxed and it gave me a sense of freedom from any kind of limitations. Sorry for the rambling, I'm not good at describing emotions.

Made with PS 7.0. The character is vectored and colored base on this scan. Credits go to Selinya. Used a lot of smudging on the sky and the water.
Total time to make is 2 days. I lag a lot.

A lot of people don't like the text so I decided to submit the testless version. The one with the text is here. Any suggestions on how to fix the text? It didn't blend well, I know...

Man, I really love your composition! The centered character might be a bit traditional, but I think it works for this piece.

I agree with Dioma - clouds and water were very well done. Though I think maybe you could've added more details where the chara stands in the water (i.e. ripples, shadow and reflection and such).

The text feels very intrusive here...maybe find a way to add it in a way that complements the wall instead of officially branding it you know? I'm a pro-signature/title on walls person, so I'm definitely not saying take them off, but I've found that it's a lot better when you allow the text to be a part of the wall instead of plain text.

Aw, awesome scene! I really want to be where he is and watch the sky and ocean all day! I think the text is somewhat in the way of the big blue sky, and so some of the feeling is lost. Since it says horizon in it, I think it would be cool if it was smaller and plainer and right on top of the horizon somewhere. Also, I think the area by his feet is a bit confusing: it looks like he's in the water, but it also looks like he's standing on dry sand. Aside from that, great job on the wallpaper! Fave from me!

Just because it comes from a BL series, it doesn't mean there's nothing more to the series XD.

Like everyone else's said, the background is outstanding. I praise your skills.
I have to say that the text should really go, though. You should also have blended the character on the bg a bit more by making him a shadow and by intensifying the ripples around his feet.
Don't misundertand me. The wallpaper is awesome and I appreciate your effort. The things I've said would just make it perfect for me.
I'll still fav it. You deserve it. ^^

The clouds and water are amazing. (Although I'm still trying to figure out if the person is standing in the water, and if so, where the water hits the person. ^^;;)
