Since I recently made a Claymore wall and discovered that I can manage to color black and white images, I went back and remade an old wallpaper of Asuka I made a long time ago that was really bad.

I love the classic Eva series because the characters have so much depth and beauty, and I really wanted to capture that. This time around I am pretty pleased with myself.

I'm still new to this so comments and tips are appreciated as always, thanks.

Though i havn't seen claymore , the wallpaper looks really good.
as for the bg the sea looks good! nice that you tried to put shadows of the birds on the sea bt i think it could have been better^^ clouds also look good though m not sure if the effect that you gave to it was intentional or not!!
nice piece of work!!

Hmm... I do like the overall look of the wallpaper. However, as Sun5 mentioned, the shadows could be worked on a bit more. The scan is really nice, I like how it's see-through at the bottom... tiny details like that really add depth to a piece of work. Keep practicing, I like your stuff!

Ooo, well very interesting Bamboo! I really love what you've done with her here. The effects of her comming out of the water are very nice, espically the rippling effect, I love the sky the planet in the background, the hazey sky was a great touch and looks just simply stunning overall. The clearity of the whole background is just fantastic and just, once again, gives that great realistic effect that just makes me feel like I'm looking at a photograph.

Hi there nice wallpaper, i really loved the evangilion series and i like the ending where Rei becomes a giant being. The perspective of the water makes the figure look like a giant, i was wondering if that was intentional? if not then i think the ripples of the water should be bigger towards the foreground, but i might be wrong. you also did a great job of the sunset, it makes the scene as epic as the ending of evangilion with all the abstract colours, +fav

Beautiful wallpaper! I saw the other version in Sessions and I think your improvements were in great taste. Nice reflection of her legs in the water, nice use of light... nice birds... nice everything! Well done! I like the picture of Asuka as well.

I guess one suggestion, which would probably be very difficult to pull off well, would be to have to appear soaking wet like she just walked out of the lake from having been in the lake, like she in the anime or something. I dunno, that might be way too hard to do though.

In any case, as I said, EXCELLENT job! +fav

Ahh...Pretty wallpaper , a whole things at this wallpaper is nice, a sea , a bird a shadow on the sea everything is good! I think a clouds with a sunset is very beautiful but I prefer a nighttime one , well...whatever it's a pretty wallpaper now. Good job.

I like the wallpaper, the idea of seeing through her dress is a nice touch with the sun shining making the cloth see through!

Nice work there, birds & shadows are nice, not to fussy about things like that so I like it!

Asuka looks really nice in this scan though! I like!

She is my favorite character from Evangelion so always welcome new wallpapers of her!

The color in this blends great. I Iove the red and yellow. The contrasting black and white adds to it. The only thing that is could be improved is where she connects to the water. Im sure this was hard to do in the first place and you did a good job.
