** An entry for the Vectorness July 06 challenge - Take five! **

Featuring the band members from the Beck series - Chiba, Ryusuke, Koyuki, Taira and Saku (L-R).
And of course, the 'Blackjack' mascot dogs - Beck and Keith!

100% Illustrator made. The characters were vectored and modified from various screencaps and scans to suit the overall group pose. Took a while to find fitting poses for everybody so they can all sit together happily, but I'm pretty satisfied with the result :)

I wanted a simple wall hence the black-and-white minimalist vector genre was decided early on. Didn't plan to design the background until I realised how boring my wall looked with just the characters lineup on solid black bg (lol!), so I ended up with the heraldry logo decor for something extra and also a balancer for the overall composition.

As you may have guessed, most of my midnight oil was spent on the logo decor design :)
All of those swirly-twirly-thingies and pretty much everything you see par the characters, was made from scratch - no brush packs, other than the default Illustrator set.

Oh yeah, the title and my signature are those tiny texts below the shield - can't think of anywhere else plus they kinda fit in well with the logo - lolz!

Reuploaded wall with updated title on the logo.
Changed the title to "Party of Five" - I like it much better than "Fab5". Just thought of it and can't get it off my head, hence I'm changing it.
