As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
I like this. It being simple and not to bright is sweet. But, to me the lack of mouths removes their facial expressions. Maybe it is supposed to be that way. Either way, I am goig to rock this wallpaper a few days. ty for your work.
For me there's just slightly too much space at the top, but it's more of a personal preference thing than anything wrong with the wall, I think. It may be the "squished" look of the text that compounds the emptyness at the top.
Pretty good overall, but the extraction seems to need some work.
i spy with my lil eye some white around their heads.
the lighting also doesn;t quite match but thats because i'm insanly picky :P
I think the focus of this wallpaper, namely the characters, is let down by the lack of detail in the original image, especially regarding their facial expressions. I know its hard, with Beck, as there aren't all that many high resolution colour scans to work with, however I still think thats the main failing of this wallpaper. The background image is fine, and leaves space for icons (which I think is a good thing).
I think the people stand out too much from the BG because of the quality difference. The BG seems too vivid compared to the scans. But I like the idea of the wallpaper. It's one of those classic poses that would look great if you just got a better scan.
^ ^this is nice,i like the warm colors,it gives it a cool dark look.the nice background fits the image, the characters seem a little dark but it's nice^^
The red is so warm and perfect looking, and the perspective of the text looks nice. I really like this piece. especially how its layed out. the centered characters work great. it is a really nice wall.
