This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Summary
How lazy am I? I reused the silhouettes from http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/helix-designs/item69825/ . So Sue me :P

Anywho My inspiration for this wallpaper was from the ever-so-mass-marketed viva la vida coldplay song from the itunes campaign. Although it's been overplayed, I feel the art style is pretty cool, and I decided to incorporate it in this wallpaper. I went for a more spacey feel than the smoky sparky style of the commercial. I also went for some depth, like each member is in front of each other (gave it that neon glow on their bodies for a more 3d effect). The color scheme is very similar, although I feel mine came out a little more organic than the commercial. Plus no text this time!

Hope you guys enjoy, please comment so I can absorb all of your opinions! I would really appreciate that...

EDIT: Also that line going across the middle is the horizon line, just fyi lol

I love how you can take the same vector silhouettes you used in the Rockband wall and make this wall! So versatile. :) And I like your take on it more than the commercial.
I really like the colours and designs in the bright... light thing. XD
Even if I don't really like Coldplay.. or this song.. you are just so creative that I love the wall!

And no it's not just "pretty cool" it's awesomeness! ^_^

Very retro, I think it has a very unique style I can't say I've seen a wallpaper like this one, the colors are electric very powerful and I like the silhouette and outline of the characters I think this a very cool wall even tho I've never seen the anime. Great work I'm sure this will be S class in no time. .(n_n). emoticon

Great wallie, the depth idea was good... but it seems overcrowded somewhat, in my opinion, cos the players are all in front of each other, rather than spread out, maybe that would help a bit? but besides that, theres nothing really bad about it, the colours work well, effects are cool, and yeah, overall great

Ahhhh, the Viva La Vida Coldplay commercial is so cool and it's funny that you got the same inspiration that I did for a wall... the monotoned concept with the smokey colors is an awesome visual effect and I'm glad to see the commercial moved you too!

But you beat me too it! (XD) emoticon *slaves away at haruhi coldplay wall*

Anyway, nice work on the wall. It's really nicely done and the colors are pretty! I don't know much about Beck, but you chose some great screencaps for the wall. Great work!
