When I started working on this I had the lighthouse from the first Silent Hill in mind. I didn't find a stock photo fitting enough, though, and I couldn't find a good scan of Harry, the main character. Then when I was browsing this 3D-studio max book at a friends place I got the idea for this new version of the wall. I asked that friend to make me a spiral staircase in the program and to send it to me. And so I began working on it. He also helped me a bit with the fire-effects too. A week and 93 layers later I had this result. One of my better walls IMO. This is the stock photo I used.

I play the first silent hill to PSX. Man... its a scarry game, and i love it! You do some stuning effects on this wallie! Thanks for sharing. Its a really great work, for sure!

Oooh...Silent Hill. love that game and how it got me shit scared, lol, the memories...
Anywayz, the freezin zone transitionin into the fire is really awesome. I like the fire feathers cos it's kinda odd, but in a good way. But I kinda feel that the character is completely overshadowed by it, but if you intended it to be that way-in the sense of the character bein engulfed by the flames- then it's cool.

Hey, I recognize that staircase! Haha, maybe because i'm that friend of your's who made it for you. ^^

Oh, I'm so lame, I know. But enough of my nonsense...

I like this one! Why...I really don't know. But it just appeals to me for some reason. The only bad thing I can think of in this piece is that there is so much going on at once. Fire, snow, flashlight...it makes it a bit confusing. There is no real focus point so the eyes wander all over the picture. But since it's mostly eye candy I shouldn't complain. Good job with this one!

This is the best looking Silent Hill wallpaper on the site. The text looks great and everything is well blended. My only problem with it is the bright blue at the top. It would look better if it was a little darker.
