As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. I finally finished another little work, it was a bit hard to vector because I only had little scan at my disposal... so I dunno if it came out detailed enough.. I used my creativity for the most of shadows and clothes details, so it should not be unprecise he he

Anyway let me know if you like it or if you have other kind suggestion ^^

The vector seems to being fair, just the BG is a bit simple for my taste. But to say direct I myself would dunno what to add to this chibi style.

Aww.. they're so cute! I looks fun and I like the colors. I like it bright but this one might be too bright for me. Maybe you could incorporate another color or two to contrast with the yellow? But I still like it!

Cuteness + simpleness = good
I can't think of any other background that would fit these cute vectors. Since the three of them are adorable, I won't complain about the clothes details or shadows XD
Kanda doesn't look that cheerful but I think that makes the wall looks even cuter.

You have chosen the right color for the background and details, IMHO. They are all wearing black, so adding a darker color would ruin the cuteness.
