This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Hello!

So, hum, this is Benika from the recent anime Kurenai. I just vectored a screenshot from the ending.
I change the color a bit. Well, I have done many versions of it (blue, orange, purple, green and grey)
It was pretty easy, no hard parts. :p

Wow that is an awesome paisley design. :)
I like the strange choice of colours and the characters eyelashes and the smoke from her cigarette. The other versions are really nice too! (The purple version is the BEST because it has my 2 fav colours - purple and green! ^_^ But I really like the others a lot too!)

Yah for the first kurenai wallpaper here at AP. The opening and ending art to kurenai is some of the best and most fun art ive seen in a while and its great to finally see someone use that art to create a wallpaper. Big thanks for also providing all the different colors. The green and orange ones are especially nice. Thanks for sharing and hopefully we can see more kurenai wallpapers from you in the future ;)

When i first saw this i didnt even notice the girl or the smoke. It feels very abstract i like how its simple yet has a complicated feel to it.

I like it. I think the purple variant is the best. The original color scheme uses too many varying tones.

Second comment: Truthfully I didn't like the greyscale version at first. But it looks real good on a mac set to 'graphite'.
