As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

I only use ctrl for zooming, backspace I knew because it is the same in PS and AI. The shift and enter I didn't know, those are useful. I ended a path using right mouse on my last node

You have to finish the path to edit it with the node tool. You can finish a path by closing it up or by pressing enter. You can also go back in the path by pressing backspace. I also suggest you to try pressing shift and ctrl while using the Bezier tool^^

Q mouton; Can you edit nodes while in bezier tool? Because now I finish a path first and then use the edit tool to change it.

Say hello to my first animepaper submission.

didn't do much for this wallpaper as i don't think i can do justice to obata's artwork. so all i did was clean up a scan and add things like feathers and textures. i also fixed the colors a bit to give an eerier feeling and to make raito stand out. i have a bigger version but i'm on dialup and i'm too lazy to upload it here. anyone who wants a bigger version of this wall, pm me.

Would be good to compare this with the original image to see the improvements, nonetheless I really like the way it turned out especially the eerie colours matching the creepy stage.

I like this. I'm kind of curious as to how it compares with the original scan, but it's very attractive. Makes me want to pick up Death Note again, which I kind of... lost interest in for a bit.

I always wanted to use this scan as a wallpaper, but the dimensions were never quite right and I was too lazy to fix it myself. So it's great to see that someone took the scan, fixed it up, and gave it some nice finishing touches here and there~

Although you didn't add much to the original scan, the slight color changes and finishing touches you added transformed it into a pretty nice wall

I can barely see a change in the scan apart from the colour. Nevertheless, I think it's kind of nice you didn't try to do much damage to the scan given that it already gave the kind of atmosphere you were aiming for. The red tint defintiely gives it a errier feel. The only texture I see is on the background behind all the mosnters and whatnots. Pretty nice for a first submission ^_^
