I worked on this Dragonaut wallpaper on and off for a while. I usually work on wallpapers for longer sessions but this one was like 10 minutes at a time, since it was more about technical execution than the idea. First off, I re-CG'ed the characters and vectored over their missing bits.
The mountains are painted, the clouds are brushes I made from masking stock photos and the grass is a blend of vectoring, home made brushes, and good ol' fashioned strokes with the mouse (pad). Of all the wallpapers I've done recently, this one drove me a bit crazy with coordinating the colors between mac and PC displays. Sometimes, I think it's better not to know there's a difference :x
Check out the original scan on AP.
