This wallpaper definetly has an interesting effect applied to it. The background texture and design seems to follow with the texture of the original brushes on the scan ((in the shading of their clothes)). I think maybe that same texture could have been applied lightly to the character's faces and help make the faces match to the texture of the entire piece. Either that or try to remove the textured brush from the clothes and create character scans with very high quality shading to make the entire character match in texture and style. I do really like the design of the background here. The mystical themed background has a very interesting feel to it and is very soft on the eyes. That always has a nice feel to all of those who sit in the dark until the wee hours of the night staring at the screen...not that I know what that's like XD...It also works very well for those who use icons on the right side of the screen. There's tons of usable space for icons there. So, I definetly have to give this wallpaper two thumbs up for effort and quality.

The texture of the bg matches with the texture of the scans.
The only thing i would say doesnt seem to fit in as well is the water.
