This is an entry for Dark Wallies Halloween Contest on Minitokyo.

I've been working off and on with this piece for a few months now, and I feel that it's finally ready to be submitted for the Dark Wallies contest. As some of you might have noticed this is a Fatal Frame 1 wallpaper, but since there's only a category for the second game there it will stay.

I used a stock photo of a wall for the back ground, candles, and the creepy mask peeking out from the shadows behind Miku. I retouched just about everything with the paint brush, and gave the entire image a faint blur to match the atmosphere generated by the candlelight. I added extra hair to the ghost because her bare shoulder created an awkward grey spot that threw off the focus of the wallpaper. I really wanted to go for creepy without blood in this piece, so I didn't add any to the piece (the blind ghost already had the blood on her eyes in the original scan).

I'm very pleased with how it turned out myself, so I hope others enjoy the spookiness in time for Halloween.
