It all started out with me watching episode 10 of FMA: Brotherhood one morning (I know, I'm behind in the episodes, but I have a love/hate relationship with this new adaptation of the manga). I really like the first eyecatch, so, out of nowhere, I decided to do something with it.
I haven't made a wallpaper in a very long time, so I'm kinda of rusty. I first began by tracing the image. Once the lines we're traced, I decided to go gray scale because I knew it was going to have more impact. As the coloring progressed, I played around with different paper textures to try and make it look like an old drawing on a crumbled piece of paper or maybe an old photograph.
In the end, I added the grunge brushes to sort of frame the whole piece. ''Separate Ways'' is the title of the episode and it fits the image (if you know how the episode ends of course). I kept the texture on their faces to a minimal because it kinda covered their expression. It may be a dark wallpaper, but I didn't want anything bright or flashy. I am honestly happy with this, not the best FMA wallpaper in the world, but I think I did a good job of turning the original screen cap into something original.
Thanks for looking :D
