Greetings all Resident Evil fans! (okay and all you other non-RE fans who just go for nice walls)
What to say about this one... Well! I did spend hours and hours on it in terms of trying to get Leon to kind of blend with the background and logo yet still seem as if he's in a stand-alone wallpaper, you know? At first, this wallpaper looked nothing like this one (the locations of the pictures were the same though), and the colours were more fiery and 'dirty'. I even put a glow-ball-like thing on the guy in the background's hand (which I didn't really know what to do of, but I was advised to remove it and voila, much better).
Furthermore, it turned out so much nicer when I 'blurred' and kind of covered away the guys in the background a little so Leon would, indeed, be more of a focus in collaboration with the logo.
In contrast, I wanted to give him and the RE4 logo a bit of a golden glow to work together with the choice of bg colour as well as the 'feel' of this type of wallpaper.
I wouldn't say it's the most difficult wallpaper I've made but I'm telling you; it's one of the most difficult aims I've had. As I mentioned earlier, it looked nothing like the original and I tried so hard to make the background work with Leon and the logo in my aim of this wallpaper being a stand-alone yet still collaborate well with the entire wall. Salute me? xD
I also tried giving the background a morning-like feel although at first I aimed for a yellower sky but decided against that and gave the entire background a beige veil instead.
Also, I must mention the mods are such a great help; from what I had with the original wallpaper to what I have now... total makeover and a good one too. To think I was even a little satisfied with the original thought of the first one xD They're great. And I wouldn't have had that great help if someone had actually bothered to give me any suggestions at all at Session Zero *laughs* but I'm sure that if someone had given some advice it could still be of good.
Anyway, it's all good I hope!
Do enjoy this wallpaper (which I really hope you will) and I'm pretty sure it's fairly good as a desktop wall ^-^;; Not enough Resident Evil wallpapers out there!
See you around~
Sidenote: the images are all copyright to Capcom of course and the brushes and all are all thanks to Adobe Photoshop. I don't think I left anything out... ?
