Description: The theme was "Infatuation". Now that's tricky :D . I decided this time to go on the lighter side for a change... So I choose the "temporary love of an adolescent [syn: puppy love, calf love, crush]" was my best guideline for the artwork. In sum this represents nothing more than the carefree, 'no worries' love of teenagers. How cute is that?
The style is also something different from my usual thing. I decided to mix a little of grunge with the vector style. Why? Well, for 2 basic reasons: 1. I wanted to try something new for my creativity's sake XD and 2. I have been spending to much time around the fanart fandom (actors/movies fanart) and I don't think I have ever seen that kind of style 'transported' to anime fanart. It's quite a shame since there are a quite few ideas/techiniques that would really prove to be really useful ^^; .
On the wallpaper: I really don't like to describe why I did and why I did on the elments of artwork. Mainly because I think that wich one of ones has a different view and kind of telling that ruins the meaning... But since I have to do it XP ... Think about this: "Have you ever had a love/passion, that you felt that when you were with that special person everything around you would be so mcuh better than if you were alone? That you could do everything you wanted? That nothing else mattered?"
Work: Believe me, this took a lot more work that it probably looks ^^; . "Murphy Laws"... We can't run from them XD . What can I say... Lots of gradient layes, too many edited texture layers, greedy use of brushes both for effect and small details on the couple... Too much time trying to link layers together because Adobe decided to do stupid things in PSCS2 X( ... And the most fun part of wall... Doing wall the type and try to make it look cool X) ... Who needs text brushes when you can make your own personalized type? See this link ( http://www.livejournal.com/users/inxsomniax/68545.html ) for a nice tip :) .
