recipe:
1 black and white manga scan of nakatsu
7 & 351/902 tablespoons of color experimentation
5 276 801 cups of spontaneity
19 & 3/4 slices of typography experimentation
1 paper texture from cgtextures
several brushes by maklington and Shiranui (for the dirty corners)
and salt and pepper to taste! (thanks for reminding me, salt :D)
warm scan in medium-sized frying pan on low heat no, lol xD first, i vectored nakatsu's outlines and colored it. (i'm well aware his hair's not blue.) next came the text design on his skin. it was fun enough that i stuck more text onto the bg. after that, it was a matter of throwing in stripes and rectangles, playing around with the colors, dirtying up the corners, and adding the texture.
just so you know: there are no connections to the story. xD anyways, thanks to my fmn buddies and peni for their insight. :3 4:3 version is the best composition-wise.
