As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. You know when helicopters and SWAT teams aren't enough...Are car chases necessary? Maybe for some criminals, but most of the car chases are by stupid and scared people. Why not just send a helicopter up and start diverting traffic?

Hinagiku, Hayate, Nagi
vectored from a screenshot I took in the anime
took me about 15 hours for the vector
2 hours for the background (which is loosely based on the original screenshot)
BG is more abstract than realistic
Mostly done in Illustrator, and a little Photoshop
Title is what the characters are thinking ;)

P.S. it looks a lot better in widescreen

Heh… I remember this scene (and reason why I’m commenting)...

I like the “stylish” type of BG you got going on there; it doesn’t look bad. Everything seems to blend. I’m not digging the leaves though. There are too many of them… I think less would have been better and maybe a tad bigger, especially for those in the foreground. Also vector(s) could use some more polishing…

Anyways, keep it up. And thumbs up for making a funny wallpaper. Those are the best kind…

I've always liked how anime show a huge sweat drip to emphasize embarrassment. i like this wall its simple with soft colors.

Great background, you should have turned down posterize a little though, the edges are really sharp. However I love the whole concept, it looks hilarious! Great work! :D

I can't vector at all, since I don't know how so my opinion may be useless... anyways though, the shadows are a bit weird, especially on the face. Definitely a funny wall though, since i'm a pretty big hayate no gotoku fan
