it's been half a year. LOL
no, I didn't take 6 months to paint but school killed me

First of all I owe a ton of thanks to ~luna and ^tAtEkAnE; luna waited half a year for me to submit something but stayed nice to me throughout =3= and tate helped me a lot on this.

btw that is water though it doesn't look like it lol

this is for my AP family: `sakurab(redhead) ~otaku99 (newspaper), ~momo-x (umbrella), ^Yina (borrowed the costume design from her wall), °Bernouli (nekomiko), and `Danalm (old man)

made the buildings from scratch but the inspiration for the water comes from this

ok guys I'm kinda late for class so here I'll just stuff the dialup-killing huge screenshot in a spoiler

P.S I apologize for the horrible looking black bars on the 1280 version. I know, it doesn't look right on my monitor either, but it was the only way to fit in both Dan and Saku

edit: fixed the shadows and added more resolutions.
by the way who noticed that taku's newspaper reads KURURUGI KILLED IN KAMINA-MA? >:D emoticon

This is very unique and I love the painted "home grown" art feel, the trees glow like fire, the colors jump off the page, every detail is so thought out from the newspaper to the shades of blue on the ground. Great job A- .(n_n). emoticon

Wow, considering that this is an OAA, you did a really good job! The colors have a 'painted on' feeling, the shading makes the whole wallpaper have a nice depth and perspective and everything blends together so well~ Love the buildings, love the characters and the general composition of this wall~ <3 emoticon

! This one one of the nicest paintings I've ever seen around here. Absolutely adore the water color painting. ^_^ Pretty trees! The color tones are just right and almost brings the wall to life. Amazing details as well. Two thumbs up for this one.

You character designs could use a little more development, the aren't that thought out to generic. I also think that one character out of all the others with animal ears just looks a little strange, well it looks strange no matter what but when it's only one person the weird factor increases. The painting style you used is excellent, a little bury and hard to see in some areas but looks great. Tone and contrast are at a nice medium not to eye blinding and doesn't cause my eyes to wonder. I'm not sure if the blue ground is supposed to be water or what, maybe just a different shad of grass green?

It is a wonderful piece in my opinion. Very well sketched and painted^^ By the way i like the girl on the left a lot, her hair are awesome :)

What actually caught my attention is the color combination which is so warm and almost tender to fit the character's mood. Great job.
