It's been a while since I've used photoshop alot, and after stumblin' across AP I decided to get back in check. So this is my first wall paper that I've made in a while and the first I've submitted to AP. My fav. type of concept is Grunge, so I wanted to incorporate that into my wall paper. I spent alot of time choosing the multiple brushes from my pallete and positioned everything until I felt it was right. That's what probably took me the longest, just aligning everything so it had a sense of balance amongst the grungy chaos. I also wanted to make it feel a bit out of age, which I implemented with the "Olde text" brushes and curved scrambled writing found in the backdrop. Grunge was an appropriate theme for the wall paper because Siegfried is a character that has a struggling identity, as he works to builds together the peices of his past and find meaning while walking forward into the future. The chaotic grunge represents the scatter peices of his identity.
On a finishing note, I'd like to dedicate this wallpaper (If it passes judgement ^.^;) to my friend Donald Tonello, who will be celebrating his birthday tommorow.
