Well, here's my first submission. The idea sort of popped into my head the other day, and I thought it would make a good wallpaper, so I went out to find a scan of Naota to use. However, I couldn't really find one of him standing by himself (except for the one where he's on the hill holding the guitar). I found this scan here on AnimePaper (thanks Jojosan!) and thought that the pose was perfect. Of course, half of his body was covered by Mamimi, so I decided to attempt to vector it. I've never really done it before, but I think it came out well. At the very least, it looks how I wanted it to for the wall.
I wanted a simple-looking background with buildings and clouds, so I decided to draw them in Photoshop instead of using stock images because I didn't want it looking too realistic. The buildings came out pretty well, but I couldn't get the clouds to look right. I had a few pictures of clouds that I had taken myself, and after I messed around with one for a while I thought it looked pretty good after a bit of tweaking and filtering. I added the title bar and text and that was pretty much it.
Stats:
-Time: 7 hours
-Layers: 70 (although I deleted about 30 more)
-PSD size: 37.2 MB
