well i just started reading blame and it's feeling really got better of me, so i decided to make a blame themed wall... i searched through the scan gallery and found 2 scans which i particulary liked. the first scan was vectored while the other was repainted
anything else on the wall is just something that i made up , it has absolutely no linking to the story, i just started painting and this came out.
thought about coloring it but in the end i wasn't able to do it ... even though i tried it , nothing decent turned out of it and i've just had enough of this wall to keep on trying :D

also here is an earlier version , you can see that i remade the whole background ... i upload it, someone might love it but it has perspective problems and its not that detailed ... =)

so enjoy if you can 'cuz i enjoyed making it :)

EDIT: Storm-and-Fire suggested that maybe a lil color wont hurt ... so i tried to add a little color just enough to not to take away the bnw look

Very very good. It's an awesome combination of vectoring and painting. I especially like all the mechanical objects on both the foreground and the background and the overall composition. The only thing I could suggest on this would be to add some hints of color here and there without having to take away the grayscale look. It would make it look even more interesting.
Either way, it's a fav.

Damn creative bg you've got here :D I've gotta say, haven't read Blame! to the end yet but this scene would fit in perfectly with the story, probably the chapter with the large Watchers nest (ch3 I think... Techno Nomads chapter?)

perspective is well done, everything fits in and cibo looks awesome. Faved, and do more xD

Darn i can't seem to open the link to the slightly colored version D: *kicks computer* nope, still no good. i guess i will just have to try again later.

anyway, the wall is beautiful as it is in grayscale. the details of that, er, machine thing next to the girl! *__* of course, the vector is gorgeous. it fits in with the painted stuff because your vectoring method has this similar "fluidity"...if that makes any sense at all. love your painting, especially those tendril-y flames. (that's fire, right?)

and i'm no scenic waller but the perspective seems pretty much fine to me. although to be honest, i am a little unsure of the structure with multiple round levels that the flames are coming out of... the level that has your sig on it seems to tilt somewhat away from the viewer compared to the others. anyway, even if it is not just because i see things weirdly, it is minor.

it's a +fav for the wonderful work. 8]

Haven't read this series but got amazed by your wall!
You put the two scans(I know in fact you vectored them all in a detailed way)together ,they simply combine naturely and it looks as if they were from one scan!
And the other elements of your wall are all made up bu you,they all blend well,for me I like BW version,just think black and white (and grey) create fantactic feel.

Creative, fluid, awesome wall as always. Your vectoring style is great with the painting, and the machinery looks really cool all over. I think the lack of color does fine in this wall, and coloring it wouldn't leave enough up to the imagination. The flames in the center are probably my favorite part. Great job.

I really like this one. I've always been a sucker for simplicity.
Simplicity in color
Simplicity in form
etc.

Like storm-and-fire said, a little bit of color would spice it up a bit. Even in your updated version I didn't see that much. I'd like to see some color in her eyes (unless her eyes are colorless for some reason) and just little wisps here and there.

Anyway, great job! (as per usual)
