Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

First collaboration between booya and me, both newbies in the wallpaper business. (booya even got a fine)

Code Geass - Lelouch, The King Stands Alone.

anyway, this idea of a chessboard was booya's original and we thought it could be improved and converted into a higher resolution format (1920x1200), so almost everything was started from scratch. cleaning the wallpaper up was the biggest challenge, since we did not have any experience in vectoring. still, we hope that this wallpaper would be a good contribution to this amazing wallpaper community, AnimePaper!

update: 2nd Revision ^_^

thanks for the comments so far ^_^ i've replaced the corners, from pink to vile purple.

i also tried to eliminate the the aliasing in the chessboard, and tried to improve on the lelouch stock.

please tell me if this is good enough for the gallery ^_^

Amazing wallpaper! The chess table choise for the BG and with the various characters images is amazing!! And Lelouch is the king as always! He is so sexy!

I'm happy to see that you too didn't gave up after the rejection of the wall.
The concept is really original and I have to say that the execution is lovely too.
If I have to be honest, Lelouch vector needs a bit of work but it still looks good
for a first attempt at vectoring.
Keep up the good work ;)

Hmm...what a catchy title for this wall...But i think it did live up to its name. This is a good wall, and the part that catches my eyes when i first saw it was the chessboard background. The chessboard squares are well done with all the characters featured in code geass(that is the part that i like most :P). And by the way, Lelouch is also a good or rather awesome chess player as shown in the anime itself. Therefore, i think he's worth standing above everyone else in this field. And if you look at it at a different point of view, you'll realise that Lelouch is also a worthy strategy adviser and you can assume that all of those on the chessboard are his pieces towards his success or objectives(except C.C. coz she is the one that Lelouch trusts most and she was his "kon han xia") Lastly, i would like to say that this is really a good wall and it definitely have what it needs to be in the gallery. Good JOB!

I liked the concept of your wall since the first time i saw it; as said above everybody is disposable for Lelouch, that was an idea that is pretty amazingly represented on this wall.
