A long time ago, during my 2nd semester of my freshman year at college, I applied for an anime club. While I didn't go all the way for membership (I later found I'd be doomed to be an errand brat a marshal at the club's anime-con) I did pick up their newsletter, and read about a site called AnimePaper. This was before I even had Internet at home.

Sometime later, we finally got Internet at home, and after some browsing around I remembered the site I had read about. When I first entered AP, whoa, it was so cool seeing all the great wallpapers, and people actually giving feedback. Not the generic 'nice' 'cool' oneliner crap. It was like the web version of a Fine Art school.

I didn't even have Photoshop then, but I tried making something and put it in Session Zero. It was beyond horrible, seriously, like I was drunk (or worse), but ~maxchs gave me some kind advice, like... get Photoshop and learn it.

So I did try it. And I finally got a wallpaper into the main gallery. It was still terrible, but a little better. After all, it had somehow gotten accepted; or maybe a moderator had mercy on this n00b. Ah, memories.

Two years and 7 months later, here is a wallpaper featuring characters from a story I dreamed up. I'd wanted to make a few manga pages to show the story, but things are still very busy. Maybe some other time. And I'll update my site design too. Probably.

TL:DR;
Thanks AP for getting me to learn Photoshop. Even though I still haven't mastered the thing (err yea I still screw up my keys and layers and blargh) at least when we started using it in class, I wasn't a total n00b. Well, not total.

To everyone who greeted me two days ago, Oct.20, thanks. I have no idea how the heck you guys found out my birthday stalker pplz! dey be all round me but now this stubborn cat is 19, I hate getting this old to be mistaken for a high schooler (oy, I'm in my third year of college right now?)
