4 days after submitting a Card Captor Sakura wallpaper, I'm back with another CLAMP wallpaper. This time with Kobato-chan. I actually wanted to wall Kobato but I ended up pairing her with Sakura-chan. I found this kobato scan and then this Sakura scan and thought of combining the concept. Then I thought the cadged Hato (dove) looks... I think caged birds look poor so I decided not to use it and use Sakura-chan's egg w/ wings as my main concept so I looked for another scan of Kobato-chan.

And I greatly appreciate Alenas' help in this part ... or else I will end up with a failure wall where I worked hard in the vector of the 2 characters. Ah and sorry if I had filled up your inbox with my messages because I'm clumsy like Kobato-chan... sending 2 same messages + correction mail. Anyway, Alenas, look at the lower left part of the wall

Outlining Sakura-chan is easy but Kobato-chan... her hair was pain and I had to reconstruct her arm & dress . At first, Kobato-chan's left side had more hair... because I failed to reconstruct it nicely I removed it. The frills... I wish I could vector more frills but I fail at reconstructing so I ended up putting lots of clouds.

The coloring, I thought of soft coloring would fit this concept but I'm not not really good in this style of coloring in all parts. I really like the coloring style in my previous wall where there's a mix of soft coloring and hard vector.

The BG... I strongly decided to use pink as the sky's color. That's one reason why picked this theme. Another is the dream & colorful clouds... and one thing I learned | : Red + White is not equals to Pink... Pink = White + red-violet. If it's traditional paint, red + white = pink... except watercolor.
