As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. It took me about 2 hours to make it, though I didn't change much of the scans.

I put two scans together and try to patch the cranny. I brushed and then use Blue to make it similar with the background. And I made it lighter and clearer. At last I added the logo of butterfly.

Hope you like it, a wallpaper with a tincture of summer.

It is a good idea to put two scans together. They are similar to each other and they match very well. However, I think the image of Ritsuka is bigger than Soubi. Usually Soubi is bigger than Ritsuka. It is a very nice background. But I think it will better if you can remove those black trees around the picture.

my only problem is that you coulda made the fireworks more lively
maybe add some lighting to it or sumthin

The blue background looks a bit compressed for some reason. It has that pixelated look you get from either low quality pictures/scans or from actually compressing a file via photoshop/paintshop pro. If you saved it at the highest quality, maybe using an air brush would help. Besides that, like the concept, someone needed to use that pic.

Kyaaa! I can't believe I missed this LOVELESS wallpaper before! -_-

Anyway, I think you did a really nice job fitting the two different scans together (I really thought it was just one scan before reading your comment). Nice concept with the firework background as well. The vines and leave brushes can use some work so that they don't look so flat, and like someone else said, the firework could use some improvements as well. Other than that, I think this is awesome! Nice job!
