I wonder what some people would think when they first look at this...im hoping this actually looks like a photo from the thumbnail...
first lemme say that i vectored Revy in the middle from a screenshot.
I like to make pics from screenshots because i know that what i will make will be original because no one else has that picture [until i post it here because i like to help my peeps out]
Beforehand i kinda had a mental image of what i wanted to make, but then i ended up sitting there for an hour or more with nothing until i decided to watch the same episode again. then it hit me! why not recreate the scene! durf!
In the scene, Revy says "Time to live forever, baby" and starts shooting everyone...and what better way to portray that hunt than by having a bunch of scared hoodlums choppin.
The hoodlums are straight up "lens+guassianed blurred" screenshots because i wasnt gonna waste time vectoring em when i was gonna blur the hell out of em anyway. The bg is a composite/chunk of a subway photo taken from an ImagineFX cd file. Slap in some random txt that kinda matches the intro credits. Then desaturated it somewhat and added some green/blue hues to get realistc colors that arent too cartoony.
The blurryness/depth of field is an idea i had such a long time ago but never really attempted it. I tried to make it somewhat realisticly blurred/out of focus. Does it look right? I might try it again in the future, but for now its just an experiment until i get it right.
i made some adjustments to make a widescreen version [tho i dont even have a wide monitor] In the wide version, you can see her guns better, which was kinda my original intent in the 1600x size but i just couldnt fit it in.
i was gonna have some shell casings w/smoke projected in mid air, but i didnt know what direction i should have had them trail. Because after shooting a gun at a shooting range recently, i now know that casings can hit you in the face! []~~~> (0_o)
Ill probably make some more vectors of Revy in this outfit because she looks soo cute it in (^o')g

*oh btw this isnt just one screenshot, its made of up 7 individual screenies taken from episode 22 i think...*
