ManOnDaMoon prod. proudly presents "My third wallpaper for AP" \o/
Like my first attempt, it is a Zegapain wallpaper. I used a screen cap to vectorize two characters (vector is Yay! :) ). And then I wondered what background to create this time.
I wanted birds, cause I messed them up on my second wall (look at my sig), they were too simplistic. And they are important (and dark black) in the anime. I found several brush sets on devianart that were perfect for what I wanted to do. I converted them into Illustrator symbols, arranged them on the background (resize, rotate, etc...). I also used one or two cloud brushes (tired of the "Render>Clouds..." function in Photoshop).
I wanted a town. Found one (at random : tokyo), on sxc.hu. Used Median noise and a second Multiply layer to make it look better. The result was not that good. I finally used another photo of the same city, that blended better with the background.
I wanted a green color for background. Found some tutorial one sxc too, about selective color and all... Used it to give a more sepia look to my too-lightened vector. And then adjusted the good levels to find the right color.
The basic thing was done. but the result was too clean. I didn't like it. So I decided to try a grunge set of brushes I had for days on my disk. I found one or more tutorials on "How to make a nice grunge piece of work", but the best results I obtained were when I just tried a new color, or a new size for the brush. Very experimental work here.
Added some text with a little extra effect, and a font from dafont : a quote from the anime and my sig.
Of course it was not so easy xD
For this wall I'd like to thank zazou8888, asa01, Ardetcho and Shik4 ;) Thanks for your comments and advices (and for bringing up my topic xD), even if I did not follow them every time :D !
Enjoy ;)
EDIT : Added moar resolutions!
