This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Welcome again to my noir spam
like who hasnt named their noir wallpaper "ancient fate" haha
this wallpaper was made a little after i made teh Govern Death one back then
i was in this err random-shape-color-funky-noir wallpaper mode at the time

this wallpaper is a little odd, mainly because it was originally made taller than it is wide..and then i rotated it like halfway through and thats why it looks like they had just thrown a grenade and they flew to the left out of a red window or something haha. dunno what i was thinking, but i remember i had fun making this...
i wanted to have some depth, and thus the shadows and handmade textures were put there for koolness [can you tell those are bulletholes? looks kinda funny haha]

i love the color scheme :D, this was the only color variation i made and i knew it was the one... very italian like [comparing to their flag colors] so hey it works

Nice background. To me it looks like the characters are in 3d, or some kind of cg game render.
Awsome touch, if its suppposed to look that way. Going on my favoritees for that alone.

Awesome i love the cut pieces of paper look you have going on and the colors are nice good depth on the wall too :D
although the one in the school uniform seems to have jagged edges aside from that nicely done :D

I love the texturing here, well done on that part for the background! the crazy abstract background is pretty good too and well put together. Scans are well blended but I feel its a bit too much going on. (Thats just me) ne wayz overall its pretty damn good. Too damn good. Ludriciously good...

you should have highlighted the charas a bit, they are barely visible
and it seems that some parts of the text are smaller than id recommend for this resolution...
also, artistically this wall is quite interesting, but omg, messy, nothing id put on my desktrop, id get a headache
guess im just not into cubism and stuff...

I'm definitely liking the cut-paper style a lot :D It makes for explosive eye-candy, and those reds look great. Love the text as well, and yeah, the jagginess of the character scans is the only (minor) problem with this wall ^^

Dang man you need to slow down with the releases.. its a tad overwhelming! I love this one though, is this a new one? I don't remember seeing this before. The color scheme is indeed awesome and the typo is well implemented. Good to see ya around, man. x)

Err naw its not new...
in any of my artwork youll see in the corner MTL and a year... this is how i keep track of how old something is at a glance...because windows Sort by>modified is just retarded sometimes...

im umm just trying to quickly upload my old stuff...and then ill make some new stuff...
[ive already written the descriptions of the things im gonna upload already, so thats why you see so many at a time] :D...no, im not a wallpaper machine!

I really like the cut paper style. Plus the name "Ancient Fate" really does makes the wall sounds mysterious in some way..

Everything is nicely done, especially the position and the stance of each character, they flow along the explosive-like background. ^^ Though maybe I find the characters a bit jaggy at the egdes... but that's the only thing though. Everything else looks awesome.

Excellent work yet again. This style that you are using is really unique, I dont think that I have seen anything similar to it before. It does not overemphasize the characters but they are still the focus. Anyway great work!

Oh this is a nice one ^^; I agree, it is a bit jagged around the edges of the characters but other than that it's great! The paper effect looks awesome!

I like how you did the characters blend into the graphic.I see the colors go great into the wall yet it lacks posaz
but It is alright.
I would suggest epeirenmenting alittle more
