Its amazing how one sentence can be so inspiring. FLCL to me is a colourful anime with a sad spirit. I was hoping for the latter. This is not only my first submission here at AP its also my first wallpaper ever. If you'd like to veiw the progression check this thread. Thanks to the help of the session zero regualrs who gave tips and suggestions. After revisions it was deemed submitable.

I think it's pretty good for a first wallpaper ever! It looks like it could be an ad for a movie or something along that line. Good job!

Looks oldschool. Luvin it. Except dude on the right. His color is off. Looks like he doesn't fit. Change the brightness. Watching FLCL right now actually.

I liked your wallpaper alot, though not so much the white paint round the characters. It made the wall seem blurry and not in a good way.

I lub the gray of it, just fits...makes the boredom of the picture, "Nothing happens.." really stand out, but the fans of the show know that...lol A LOT happens in Mabase.

I thought it was a direct copy of some of the fronts from the anime to be honest first when i saw it. Then i took a closer look .. and its absolutly marvelous!

The sombre black-and-white feel is cool, and fits in with the expressions of the characters. Font is well chosen too, and fits in with the entire sombre mood again! Only thing... what's with the blobs at the lower left? Unless I'm missing something, I think it would be much better if the lettering and the characters simply extended to the bottom of the wallpaper.

Wow this is an awsome wallpaper! The characters dont even looked animated, they almost look real. Even the cat Ta-Kun looks less "animated" and looks more like a real cat would look. I think you put it perfectly when you said that FLCL was a colorful anime with a sad spirit, and this wallpaper fits that depressing side of FLCL very well. I just was not a big fan of the font you used on the quote from FLCL, other than that this wall is great!
