As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. FULL FIEW PLEASE! Theres lots of little details you might miss with the preview ;D

Anohter Ogi wall! This time I really tried to keep the vector as close to his original work as possible, though I did throw in some of my own flare ;D
The really hard part was the brown detailing on the girl. What I did was I took a soft tipped brush, and then used the smudge tool until I got something I liked.
Overall this took me about 6 hours, 58 layers, all done on Photoshop CS2.

Hmmm... I love the pattern works, but somehow I feel the character is just "out there." Perhaps if she/he was buried somewhere along the bottom with the rest of the little critters, or out of a random bush- it's the only black vector in contrast to the rest of the soft colors...

Interesting wall if someone asked me to define it,I love the soft colors in the background and the little details but I guess he/she is a little bit showy for such soft colors,I think like another person said that you should use more blur for him/her(by the way is the character a she or a he?) like he/she is now there seems to be something that affects the harmony of the whole background.Anyway I like the wall,I like the originality and well a fav from me I can imagine that it's pretty hard to get creative ideas for walls.

There is something about this wallpaper that i like!! its unique and very artistic!! i love the background and the girls face is so nice!! eventough its simple but you made it look so attractive!

I love the colors and the plants in the back. but I have the same question as Yina - why does the vector look strangely stretched vertically? I feel like her face needs to be a little wider. but other than that, this is a very pleasant wall with plenty of juicy details. nicely done.

Man this wall is too sick. I was browsing walls tagged with widescreen and I come across this piece of awesomeness. Ogi's art is awesome and Ive read that his art has been in galleries in San Francisco which is like only a half hour from me. Anyways great work on the wallpaper, its very unique, something I would love to hang on my wall :)
