This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

The original illustration was with red leaves of autumn
but i changed them to golden leaves
and gave it a new title: "Forest of Golden Stars"
that is what the Chinese characters say in the bottom right corner.

i personally like the original illustration which is why i chose this scan to work with.
i just gave it a new look and a name.
hope you like it.

This is so magical. The leaves really end up looking like golden stars and the dear kind of blends into them. The leaves aren't overdone at all but I think since it is an aerial view that some more of the tree limbs should of been blurred a bit more in the foreground and the japanese text could of been left out since it's left off to the side. This is beautiful as it is now though, really really beautiful and so it's a fave~

Very nicely done, I really like this wallpaper. Excellent layout combined with a somber and simple look really help this wallpaper look good. I like your choice of colors, and I'm always a fan of using japanese text in these simple wallpapers. I'm going to have to add this one to my favorites.
