This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

It's quite a long time I've submitted a wall and this time I wanted to try something a bit simpler.
I saw this scan and just couldn't leave it alone.

The face is extracted and I also cut off a part of her neck. Then I added the gold breeze she's actually breathing out and some ocean stuff into her slivers. (It does look like slivers, doesn't it?)

However the background seemed to be too empty, so adding of more ocean stuff followed. But it's my simplest wall anyway:))

This is a lovely wall. The background may be plain but the depth of the black really goes well with the character. She seems to glow in the deep abyss of the sea. This is really creative, and I really like what you did with this wall, particularly what was added. Nice work.

That is a gorrrrrgeous wall :3 I'm not a big fan of the brushing in the bottom right hand corner, but the girl's image has been cleverly changed to fit a very fishy mood :D +fave.

The thumbnail of this looks really great but it kinda disappointed me when i full viewed it. I love this scan. I've never seen it before. THis is actually the first time I see this scan. I love it. Where you positioned the scan is a good place to put it. My complaints are the low quality brushes that you used. They are blurry and not very sharp especially those ones on the bottom right corner. They are a bit random. I think i would like this wallpaper more if those ones were gone. I also noticed the sharpness of the scan from extracting it. You should have blurred it a little to make the scan look like part of the dark background. Its a pity though because this scan looks really good and theres a lot of options that you could have picked for the background. But its a really good looking wallpaper. peace! lol. Hope to see more wallpaper from you and hopefully I didn't sound kind of mean. Thanks for sharing this wallp. cya around

I was gonna comment on this one in SZ, but I really thought it was done and wanted to wait until it got into the gallery.

Wow, such powerful imagery; I like how you took the scan and made it your own; you totally changed the concept of the image. To me that girl looks like a fire demon of some kind, and yet you stuck her in an oceanic scene---nice. Now the contrast between the foreground and the background visually explodes into a compelling scene of quiet elemental battle. It is like when the Lava from a volcano flows into the ocean, and no matter how hot the Lava is, the ocean will eventually triumph and drown its fiery invader.

I love this wall, it is pure conceptual fury reaching its gloriously abstract peak. A fire fairy with flaming wings of wrath as her feathered ears hears the silence of her own death as she drowns in a hushed sea of apathetic goldfish. And as her eyes close, and her life slowly drains from her body, her angelic soul escapes from the burning embers of he fading form with the last breath of a glorious life. That is what I see when I look at this wallpaper.

You have brought the ocean, and it is beautiful. Too cool.

Honestly, I've been waiting for this wallpaper to come out ever since I saw it on the in-progress section. There really isn't much to say other than it really caught my eye just there and then. Plus I'm glad you made that small addition to the lower right corner, otherwise it would seem kind of empty. Overall, this is a really nice job~
