This is my first wallpaper submission to animepapers albeit a resubmission due to my lacking description which is fixed now. This is my second wallpaper I have made in my course of Photoshopping, I have usually stuck with signatures and the small stuff.
Like most of my works I grew inspiration for this wallpaper from the scan, therefor I used the entire scan without cutting it and simply used a multiply blend mode for the render layers and lassoed around the outer edged of the render with a 15-20 pixel feathering. The render itself has bits of noise which stand out since there is a large amount of it, I've done various amount of things to it to no avail. In future attempts I will render the scan and not be a lazy ass.
The logo-icon I made was basically a copy and paste of the render's wings with the use of a pen tool to stroke it and then erase the original copy of the wings so we're left with a nice drawed version of the wings, then I simply copied that layer and flipped it and moved it accordingly.
I added subtle effects in the wallpaper such as small autumn leaves, a dotted pattern, etc. to overall enhance the effect I try to give off.
I hope you enjoy it and I'll be sure to practice more.
