I wanted to make a wall that corresponded with the new year. I started it right after the new year began, and back then, I didn't have enough papers to download any scans. So instead I started working on the background, and posted a lot on the forums to get a few scans. I recently got an art book for Pita Ten, and I found some pictures that I simply fell in love with. Shia's and Misha's kimonos were perfect for the project. I love the festive look, anyways.
I didn't know what to do for the rest of the background, but I just got a new brush that painted Ginko leaves, and thought: This would be good for a Chinese new year. I painted the leaves to match the girls' kimonos, then layered a light wildflower brush over it. (It wasn't as visible as I thought it would be, though. Oh, well. ^^)
