Well, hello everyone. Storm/Maria calling this time. ^^ I think it's about time you get to see some of my own work too.
This is my second attempt ever at making a wallpaper. Some of you might remember that I was once trying to make a wallpaper that had a certain watercoloury effect. So, ever since my sister bought her tablet in January, I've been attempting to create that effect without relying too much on the smudge Photoshop effect.
That's how this wallpaper was born. XD I found this scan in the Code Geass image thread at AnimeSuki and I really wanted to make a wallpaper out of it. So, I started vectoring the image. However, I changed my mind after I had finished making the lineart... Anyway, in order to achieve the desired effect, I completely re-coloured Euphie. I've been working on the re-colouring on and off since the 17th of February. I managed to finish it a couple of days ago. In the meantime, I was thinking about what background I would use for Euphie. I did not want to make something totally abstract because I wanted the wallpaper to look like a portrait (or something similar ^^;). At first, I was working with a flowery image which, unluckily, did not seem to fit Euphie. So, I closed my eyes and imagined where I'd want to see Euphie... The answer was simple: in a room with huge windows. I started searching for the proper image to use and I came across it. It is a stock photo of a church actually. ^^
The following is a spoiler for episodes 22 and 23 of the Code Geass anime, so don't read if you don't want to be spoiled.
The stained paper is by Duesterheit-sama. I have to thank him for this because it's that very texture that made this wallpaper. ^^
Last but not least, I would like to give my special thanks to ~ otaku99, ° slaka16789, ~ J1E, ° clarings, ~ dejiko12 and, of course, Anna/Fire for their advice and support.
Well, that's all I have to say about my wally. Enjoy it as much as you can! All I know is that I enjoyed making it and it is now sitting on my desktop.
